Which food words does it use?
Fifty everyday foods and drinks: apple, bread, milk, egg, rice, cake, soup, juice, pizza, banana, water, cheese. Vocabulary from the table and the grocery store, not from a cookbook, so a 6 year old recognizes all of them.
For a healthy eating or food unit
Food comes up in science and in language arts at the same time in the early grades, and this sheet serves both: the words are grouped by topic and the search is letter-by-letter reading. Eight words on a 10×10 grid makes a class warm-up.
