Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how Pintoteca handles information on our math practice platform for kids.

Information We Collect

Pintoteca can be used without an account: the games and the free worksheets run in your browser and ask for no data. We use cookieless analytics (Plausible) that count page views without identifying anyone.

If you create an account, we store your name, your email address and your password in encrypted form. If you add children's profiles, we store the name you choose for each child, their avatar and, if you give it, their date of birth, together with the record that an adult gave consent. We also store the games played with the account, to show progress.

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address and the date you confirmed. You can unsubscribe from any email we send.

You can delete your account from the settings. Doing so removes your data and your game history, and also your children's profiles and their history unless another adult in the family remains in charge of them.

Cookies

Without an account, Pintoteca needs no cookies. With an account, we use only the cookies strictly needed to keep you signed in and to protect that session. We do not use tracking, advertising or third-party marketing cookies.

During a Pintoteca Plus payment, Paddle uses its own cookies inside the checkout window under its own privacy policy.

Third-Party Services

We do not sell or pass on your data, we show no ads and we integrate with no advertising networks.

We use providers that process data on our behalf so the site can run: hosting and the database, email delivery (account confirmations and the newsletter), content delivery networks for fonts and static assets, and Paddle for payments. Each receives only what its task needs and is bound by its own privacy policy.

The Amazon links for buying our workbooks are ordinary links: once you click, Amazon's own policy applies.

Pintoteca Plus and Payments

Pintoteca Plus payments are handled by Paddle as the authorised reseller. When you pay, your payment details, name, email and country are collected by Paddle, not by us; we never see or store card numbers.

Paddle tells us the state of the subscription (active, payment pending, cancelled) and a customer identifier, which we keep so we know which account has Plus. Invoices and payment history live in Paddle's customer portal, which you can reach from your account.

Children's Privacy

Pintoteca is made for children and takes their privacy seriously. Children do not create accounts: an adult in the family creates their profile, with a name that adult chooses, and the profile has no password or email. A child signs in only when the adult approves their device.

On public leaderboards children appear under a generated nickname, never their name. The games and the free worksheets run in the browser without sending personal data to our servers. Subscriptions and payments are for adults only.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
