Our dotted word worksheets help children practice writing complete words by tracing over light guides. Choose a theme (animals, colors or family) with words a four-to-seven-year-old already knows. Each row shows a bold model word followed by traceable copies and an empty line to write it alone.
Words by the Letter of the Page
Instead of a theme, the words can follow the letter of the page: apple, ant and arm for a, ball, bear and book for b. That way the word practises the same letter the child has just traced, one letter per page, through the alphabet.
